There are many milestones NWBO needs to finish before DCVax gets approved. With supposed huge potential of NWBO, to Merck, these two milestones, 1 verification of the science (JA), 2. certification of volume production of the vaccine, are the most important ones. When these two milestones are achieved, I believe Merck or other big pharma will gobble up NWBO or partner with NWBO ASAP. With their money and resources, they can do better and more efficient job for the rest of process and make sure the vaccine gets approved, with 80-90% certainty. They will not wait to the last minute. It is just too risky for them.
Ron Baron once said, I can risk 10M dollars, but I can't afford missing the opportunity of making 2B dollars. I believe Merck is in that position. So we may not need to see the submission of the application and I think JA is a big deal.
