They scale small amounts that are then used in research and development . CHS is just the starting material for the development of new silicon materials . The large scale production is needed to fill large orders but you have to have a product first . CHS is not the end product its just the beginning material used to create a product for a specific application. If they come up with a silicon material with Coretecs CHS in it for battery anodes that a company needs for mass production of that anode then they scale up large quantities of CHS which is the starting material for the production of a specific chemistry they have created using CHS in that chemistry. They grow nanowires and nano flakes etc with CHS dope it and whatever else they do with it like creating an artificial SEI layer in it Michelle talked about in the material in the lab to create a new material. Then CHS , if someone wants that new material using CHS,then its scaled up in large volumn and used to mass produce that new material using CHS as the starter material . CHS is not the product alone that is used in all of these applications. At the lab at Coretec , the CEA and Eindhoven University they are creating new materials with CHS adding to it growing nanowires with it etc to try to come up with that special chemical recipe to be the game changer.
