$TORVF - U.S. Market Volume vs. 9 Other Exchanges Where Trading is Also Happening.

IMPORTANT -- This post will help you see ALL the trading action when the markets are open.

Since most U.S. investors don’t trade stocks on foreign exchanges, they only see the daily volume for the exchanges in their country. In the case of VCT, brokers in the U.S. provide access to common shares via the foreign exchange agreement with OTC Markets, which in turn provides an alternate stock symbol that usually ends with the letter “F” to denote foreign stock. Volt Carbon Technologies stock is accessible to U.S. investors through OTC Markets listed with the symbol TORVF. Also, VCT upgraded its OTC listing from “Pink” to “OTCQB” in late 2021, requiring more stringent reporting and auditing requirements, which provides more confidence to investors who are interested in buying their stock. A good example of the discrepancy between the U.S. and the Canadian trade volumes occurred on April 9, 2021, when the Solid UltraBattery Inc. acquisition was approved by the Alberta Securities Commission (ASC), and VCT trading resumed on their home exchange, the Toronto Stock Exchange - Venture (TSX-V:VCT).

As shown above, only 406k shares of VCT were traded in the U.S. on 9-APR-2021, yet 13.5 million shares were traded on the TSX-V. The total share volume for all Canadian exchanges combined was 26,006,146 versus 406,200 in the U.S., proving that only watching the OTC and TSX-V doesn’t provide the full picture of all the trading that’s going on in then US, Canada and Europe.

If U.S. investors want to buy shares on a foreign exchange like the TSX-V, they need a brokerage account that provides access to foreign exchanges to trade in those markets. Interactive Brokers (IBKR) allow trading on foreign exchanges but requires currency conversion before buying/selling. For example, if an investor is in the U.S and wants to buy VCT on the TSX-V in Canada, then they will need to convert US Dollars (USD) to Canadian Dollars (CAD) in their IBKR account. When the USD is strong and the CAD is weak, there may be additional opportunities to get more shares for less cost. However, selling and converting CAD back to USD could have additional tax implications for gains/losses, so consult your tax professional.

Daily trade volumes for VCT, on an average, have been higher on the Canadian exchanges, while trading in the U.S. is still low. But, as awareness for VCT picks up, so will the daily averages across all exchanges it's traded on, including the U.S., and shares can be bought in USD, CAD, and EURO currency markets.

Volt Carbon Technologies is currently and actively traded on 10 exchanges.

If you have access to L2, then you can see the OTC trades and order book:

But, even if you don't have a subscription to Canadian L2, you can still see TSXV trades in realtime if you enter

TSXV:VCT in your L2:

Watching OTC: TORVF and TSXV: VCT only provides trade action on two if the 10 exchanges Volt Carbon Technologies is trading on.

Stockwatch, without a subscription, will provide all eight of the Canadian exchanges that are trading Volt Carbon

Technologies:

Stockwatch will also provide OTC trade volume:

Finally, the tenth exchange Volt Carbo trades on is Börse Berlin (Euros):

Only watching the trade action on the OTC provides 1/10 of what is really going on with Volt Carbon Technologies.

Volt Carbon Technologies is set for explosive volumes on multiple exchanges.

Good luck to all.
