If the doctor wrote a script for Vascepa 2 grams a day for prevention of MI then It’s clear evidence that infringement is taking place at the pharmacy level. There is no mechanism to stop generic substitution at the pharmacy/payer level. I encouraged AMRN to file for an injunction on generics due to irreparable harm for these vary reasons. GV is treated like a substitute for V for any and all indications and sometimes regardless of what’s written on the script.
