I did not receive that letter about loss of coverage, I received the other letter about paying the difference in cost. When I called I did not ask about coverage year, I argued it was not an equivalent drug. They gave me that process to improve coverage. I received that letter a month ago and just recently needed a refill. I have to call my doctor Monday to have him change the script to no generic substitution and my refill should be $9.

I would call them and make the same argument that 1) as stated in their letter it is not approved for your condition and 2) it did not go through the same rigorous testing as the brand because reduce-it is an outcome trial and 3) the generic costs more.

I will let you know if I get the same letter dropping V from coverage.
