We can't do market orders with OTC stocks in the US either. Slapping the ask is as simple as placing a limit order at or above the ask. I imagine it would be similar in Canada, but I'm guessing

Exactly and people think it's so easy in Canada - it's not. People need to understand and do comprehensive due diligence before writing a lot of BS on this board because it's more difficult than you think... there are no market orders in Canada so you can't "slap the ask" etc... the US markets are way easier with no commissions etc... so it's time Americans CALL CANADIAN BANKS TO VERIFY information before assuming a lot!
