Their goal is to maximize profit! Bottom line. That being said if Insultex is sold as an optional feature or product then the additional R-value may be enticing for a buyer to include that as an optional upgrade to their home.
We build houses so tight these days that the bathroom fans by code need to remove a certain amount of air from the home each day.
Insultex is an interesting product. I’m a shareholder, and simultaneously a sceptic who wants to know more.
I only received 5 two page literature brochures with a 4”x4” swatch of hs wrap attached. I am very curious what the actual cost of materials are. Labor shouldn’t be that drastically different from a tyvek installation.
