I asked Helen what it meant.

From Helen:

So the payment schedule for DCVax is that you pay £100,000 up front. If it isn't possible to make the vaccine then you will receive £50,000 back. Please bear in mind that these are top level figures. If it is possible to make the vaccine then the cost is another £150,000.

Now that the production plant is open in Sawston, Cambridge, I think NWB is hoping that with the automation of the treatment that the cost will be amortised over time and it will come down, but it is expensive. NWB is not a pharma but a small biotech and has always had strong values at its core - it really wants to get this treatment accessible. I don't know what the time scale is for this.
