Kiwi, You are talking about the US market. That topic has been discussed here before. Because of this I will keep my answer brief.
1. Doctor proscribed Vascepa.
2. Patient goes to pharmacy.
3. Pharmacist computer shows that a generic is available and should be substituted.
4. Pharmacy is out of stock of the generic version.
5. Patient leaves without prescription.
KM explained this problem in a prior investor conference. The problem is the insurance companies, and the mandatory substitution rules. Generic entry into the US market stalled out growth.
