Of course not. Like other complex technologies, new drugs require extensive development and testing before they can become a "product," a revenue-generating entity. It's typical R&D, research and development. For drugs, it's not a quick, short-term process: "Drug development is the process of bringing a novel drug from “bench to bedside”. It can take 10 to 15 years for a drug to be designed, developed and approved for use in patients."

In the case of Anavex, its drugs in development are not only "novel" (entirely new, nothing else like them) but they utilize a heretofore unknown mechanism of action (MOA), doing biochemical things inside cells that haven't yet been described in textbooks. All entirely new biology.

New drug R&D takes a lot of time and effort. For blarcamesine, with the impending release of final, complete clinical trial results, the great future of Anavex will become evident. Everything, for everyone, will be different.
