Once Powell has made a decision he's incapable of changing until it's obvious to everyone how utterly asinine that direction has become. He needs his life to be simple and consistent more than he needs his decisions to be correct. Since you clearly believe you're smarter than Powell, what should the Fed do to get inflation back to 2%? We see this personality type much more often in bureaucracy than in business because business crushes this personality flaw.
