"How does a holding company make money?
A holding company can only make money when the businesses that they work with have the ability to make money and hence it profits the holding companies. As an example, A holding company can work as an investor. When individuals invest in a particular mutual fund, they are expecting to receive the monetary value of the investment, hence this is how it works."
Just as I explained - a holding generates revenue when a subsidiary has a Operating Profit (most OTC companies have a Operating Loss) - and that is the Revenue minus COGS and SGA - that is the Operating Profit that goes to the holding company as revenue.
You need to call Warren Buffett tomorrow and tell them they are confused and can't have any revenue.
Your argument to protect Sharp is weak and not close to being accurate.
Since there isn't any revenue that means none of Sharp's acquisitions etc have been successful.
Anyone that thought Maverick was anything but a share selling scheme should not be trading anything as they are too easily duped.
