A main element of "investment income" is time.
You put money into another company and then wait for their business plans to succeed. Sometimes it is short term - like 6 months to a year. Sometimes the expecation is 2-5 years.
FORW has not been around as a holding company for that long. Knowing that the investment requires FDA approval, or SEC approval in a very new idea, or maybe drilling for oil... those things are expected to take time and are speculative. If they fail, you move on. If they succeed, their return should be very good.
