I interpreted the statement by the IBM guy in the EE Times article to mean that IBM was planning on having as many 8M TPMs deployed by year's end, which I believe would be all Atmel TPMs.

Therefore, when Atmel in the same article refers to 4M Atmel TPMs shipped to date, that must mean the 4M IBM machines already deployed and growing to the year's end 8M.

All we know for sure at this point is that Atmel supplies IBM and Infineon supplies HP and Intel. NSM we don't know but have speculated overseas customers, including hopefully major Japanese OEMs.

IMO, it's plausible that all three TPM vendors are targeting various other OEMs that we have no way of knowing about...yet.
