I have another small biotech, Anavex Life Sciences, whos' posturing is completely different. While they are not creating a huge army of employees, they have continually have added positions over the last 4 years as they have gotten closer to commercialization. If NW Bio intended to remain independent, I would be certain they would have added positions regardless of cost. Also, please look at the age of everyone that holds senior positions at NW Bio - They are all at or over what would be considered retirement age. This is not speculation, its fact. Dont you think they would have added even a few positions and hired some youthful talent (usually a lower cost as well) if they were close to commercialization and truly did have intent at going at all this by themselves? Thisactions, or lack of, tells me everything I need to know as far as what LPs plans for the Company are: Sell NW Bio but retain control of Advent. You just dont wake up on day and decide you need more people, particularly in a very, very tight labor market. This stuff takes time, and with approval just around the corner, at least in the UK, they have added ZERO positions. Believe what you want, but I think you are very wrong on this. The facts just dont support the notion that NW Bio is just trying to save money before commercialization. It doesn't work like that. If they got approval tomorrow they would be way behind the 8 ball and the lack of positions would cost them a considerable amount of lost revenue.
