Man, bagholders have an excuse for EVERYTHING!!!

It's not that simple - you can't just call a brokerage and ask to have a security removed from your account. Once every share has been liquidated it will be removed from your positions.

Shares that are CE/EM will remain in your account indefinitely because the possibility exists they will begin trading again someday. They aren't suspended or delisted, just inactive.

Even shares from a delisted ticker may haunt your account forever.

I just logged in to an old account to see if shares of a scam I bought in 2012 have been removed yet. 4,555 shares are still sitting there, even though the ticker was suspended in August 2017 and revoked in March 2019.

After the revocation I asked they be removed and was told they can't do that without an order from the SEC, and to this day it appears they haven't received one. The stock is no longer listed on OTCM, but without that order their hands are tied.
