As I understand it, it has an immune-stimulating effect. So even if its American equivalent is FDA approved for sale as a nutritional supplement, at a minimum I hope there's a warning label for people with things like Autoimmune disorders. (This detail matters to me due to autoimmune issues in my immediate family.) If it works as intended, it may actually have a hazardous effect for certain demographics.
That PDF I linked at the end of the prior post includes justifications like this:
4.1 Determination of the No-Observed-Adverse-Effect-Level (NOAEL) or Lowest-Observed Adverse Effect Level (LOAEL)
We have no information on NOAEL or LOAEL
4.2 Determination of safety factor
General recognition of safety through experience based on common use and a substantial history of consumption for food use by a significant number of consumers.
4.3 Determination of the Acceptable Daily Intake (ADI)
No acceptable daily intake has been determined.
That's pretty vague. For me personally, the product does seem a bit like a mystery snake oil, though that doesn't automatically disqualify it from supplemental use cases. Especially if I was sick and unwilling to try other therapies.
Enzoimmune Active shipped overseas may come with extra risks, since Rosetta is based in Bulgaria and some regulatory & legal protections just apply in America. If something went wrong I'm not sure American consumers would be able to address the problem with Rosetta. That said, once Enzolytics IPF Immune became available stateside, I'd personally wait to see that there are no emerging issues as the product became more widespread and popularly used. The fact it's not available so many months after "launch", for an unclear reason, raises a caution flag to me.
On the flip side, if there are no risks whatsoever because it's so complementary to consumers' typical dietary intake, then is it anything better than a sugar pill of a nutrition supplement?
Finally, I think there's a difference of porcine vs bovine pepsin in the formulations as well - though that may not make a huge difference medically, it might matter in kashrut, halal and kosher contexts.
