Xster, if we're reading that announcement correctly (thanks Roc66). Then we could possibly see where Keystone (who has partnered with LWLG) demonstrate speeds of 1.6 TB/s through puts and more.

Keysight will demonstrate its new arbitrary waveform generator (AWG) (M8199B) operating at 256 GSa/s with a bandwidth of 80 GHz, enabling data transmission greater than 400 Gbps per lane in intensity-modulation/direct-detect (IM/DD) and greater than 1.6Tb/s per carrier in coherent optical communications

My assumption is that only Perkinamine modified wafers are the only ones, currently, that can reach that type of speed at this time. That is why we'll see LWLG take longer onstage for a demo, and they will take top awards for the show maybe more than one award (Best in Show).
