Imagine a permanent magnet motor/generator about the size of a coffee can
putting out 4 kilowatts sitting in an electric car fully recharging it in 3 or 4 days.
Larger ones for house off grid use.
Biggest advantage is that they are 24/7, solar is 8/7 at best.

That would make sense for most electric car owners and they would never
have to plug into the grid except on rare occasions.

All of the current magnet motors now on display on youtube use stock round or rectangular magnets, not sculpted magnet with field shunts.

Tesla has the engineers to make it happen.
