Linda Powers has some experience with this same issue in Germany with the Hospital Exemption program process which was pricing negotiated regionally within the country. Great Britain is a tough negotiator but so is Linda Powers and if the UK wants the lead they will need to pay the premium for that privilege and their set aside funds for access to L prior to agreed to reimbursement is a good indication they want to be known as leaders not followers. For their part, NWBO has worked towards full automation before approval to accommodate better pricing and I’m sure that is part of the impetus for making funds available for patients before reimbursement rate is established. Both parties working on each other’s concerns is a really, really good sign for quicker agreement. Best wishes.
