I am not an expert, but my information tells me that the data transmission industry used already up to 5% of global power consumption around 2016/2017 and with data / video etc. rising with almost 75% per year and now with energy prices increasing dramatically ( outside the USA for sure), we are looking at the number 1 biggest( cost) issue for data centers. The 5% was used by Photondelta.
