If you paid attention to the experts and neurosurgeons that have to try to operate in the FDA environment, you wouldn't be surprised at all. I refer you to Dr. Seymours Ashkan's comment at ASCO to a group standing at the Northwest booth:

"The FDA is too deep in political and financial considerations to have the patients best interest at heart!!!"

Fact of the matter is that the good ole USA legal system protects those with money and privilege even if the monied and privileged are blatant criminals!!!
