jasbg, this is a very serious issue that they must address in a positive fashion. They are not in a position to reject whatever the appeal process gives them for a price. They are choking on inventory and need to quickly generate sales in the EU to get that down. So long term inventory increased by about 80% to over $200M in just the first half of this year. It's probably still increasing. How far along are generics to adding more supply in the US? AMRN has stated it will take 3 years to produce a combo pill. Is that because of the science or because they would have to write of millions in inventory? I hope these guys are smart enough to stop encapsulating pills and just store the EPA in holding tanks. Inventory is carried at cost, so they have enough to cover over $1.5B in sales which is close to 4 years presently. If the US suffers more sales loss and the EU is slow to take hold, more spoilage is coming and a $10M write-off might be small to what could be coming. I am not saying it's all gloom and doom, but they put themselves in a bad negotiating position imo.
