Lot's of bankruptcies have a reorganized company, with lots of assets from the original company, while completely slaughtering equity.

Kodak is a good example.

Fact is, the bankruptcy process/system is set up to leave equity completely wiped out, even if assets remain.

It is what it is.

But but but...that's not fair!!! Agreed. But it's the system in place.

Until the system is changed, this will be the outcome.
