I do not know how many times I have had to clear-up how a journal interacts with authors. Here are hard facts.

1. The editor of the journal will communicate only with the submitting author. All sign-offs with other authors are handled through the lead author. For example, journals require that all authors approve of the final corrected paper. The lead author gathers permissions and communicates permissions to the editor. The editor does not interact with all authors.

2. A journal would never interact with private or government agencies to get there comments or opinions.

You simple must stop leading persons to believe that FDA is in anyway involved in publication.
