I grabbed this screen shot of the publication timeline for the FDA article on external control arms in Annals awhile back and thought some may find it interesting, given how long the journal article is taking.

Notice, please, that the article was first submitted by this very credible set of authors back in mid-April 2021. It was finally accepted in December 2021 (late), and published in mid-January 2022. So the often-cited FDA publication process took about 9 months.

I do think that the article was submitted back around mid-March 2022. So… it’s very possible and reasonable to think there’s been some back and forthing due to peer reviewing, and that nothing is wrong or a problem… IMO… and that this is the very normal course of things relating to the JA timeline.
