Seriously? If this stuff was worth so much per pound, there would not be literal mountains of it sitting in bankrupt or cash strapped places like Sri Lanka. They would be processing and selling it. India would not be searching for solutions, they would be selling it to their petrochemical companies. In the US, the most technologically advanced country, we bury the VAST majority of it as useless waste. Most of the rest is incinerated. A quick google search shows that 10% or less of all plastic is recycled.

My buddy runs a beach cleanup non profit that collects tons of plastic every year and they have to pay to get rid of it.

Our community has a recycling company that survives on the tax credits, subsidies, and donations as their income. Plastic is their biggest headache. They would be thrilled to be paid for it.
