I asked a simple question, one that most certainly deserves an answer when considering the nature of the charges being levied. It would seem that your efforts to deflect from the merits of the question are little more than a cover-up in the form of subterfuge. If your buddy you seek to defend has no supporting documentation to back up his statement, then it is very likely a smear campaign, meaning some sort of revenge tactic. As the target of his attack has been a guy who regularly pointed out the mafia criminals fleecing shareholders with relentless “pump and dump” scams, it is not a stretch of the imagination to see that this claim is both malicious and utterly unfounded.
