I may be wrong but I think Sanxiang is actually making the 106 alloy and creating pellets to feed the moulding machines. They are analogous to what Materion was doing. Making the alloy requires vacuum induction melting with some sort of mixing to get homogeneous output. I haven’t heard of anything like that downstream. The moulding machines use vacuum induction heating but no mixing…it would slow the cycle time several fold.
