I'm really not aware of other companies issuing information of the type you're suggesting, most companies I'm aware of wait until after BLA's, NDA's etc. have been accepted by the FDA and in some cases they say nothing at all.

Most companies are reticent about saying practically anything about their dealings with regulators until something has officially happened, I believe far more discussions occur than any of us recognize.
