Why would she have stolen a car? She lives in Texas, and was in California. So either she'd have been driving her own car, or a rental.

HOW would she have stolen a car?? You don't just hotwire a new Mercedes. Cars are much more complicated nowadays. Or do you think she first murdered the car's owner?
