Mine is a common question judging by G. One guy said they DO administer painkillers in California, but only morphine. I'm not in California. So it may vary by state. And urban vs rural. Some G info says that.

Looks like my state EMTs can administer almost nothing, even common generally safe asthma, BP and cardiac meds. .
