Lizzy, A lot of realism in your post. Speculation on Denner - how is he going to attack the big task of - 'turning things around for Amarin' - a lot of IF's as you point out.

One thing I have been wondering 'if fact from the very start' learning about Vascepa - were 'the $9 offering of the product to potential patients' !

There is many angels to 'is going so low' - a good general marketing strategy.

What would you think if Apple suddenly said 'we will 'give away' our 'Best model Iphone' for a monthly fee of $10 a month. Probarbly not the best examble you could find - but still illustrating the question : "Is new Apple Iphone really only worth $10 a month" ? :)

On the one hand you tell everyone this is the most important 'breakthrough drug' since Statins 30 years ago - and with the other hand - you 'Give your great product away for $9 - for 90 days.

Of course as a user - I will want the drug cheapest possible - but as a overall marketing strategy - I think you do actually undermine 'trust in value of your product' - giving it away like this.

And next there is the loss in revenu from the thousands of US users that gets Vascepa this way.

Seem to remember Kiwi actually argued against 'the $9 campagnes at some point couple of years back - and to where we have fallen in value (between $1 and 2) it is hard to argue - that the 'give away' policy have been a success for the Company.
