LWLG's Law (Sunrise) to succeed Moore's Law (Sunset)

No doubt the government has been told by Lebby, Tier 1s and 7 foundries of this imminent paradigm shift. The message is now either to adapt or lose industry relevance.

WORK-BASED LEARNING.—The term ‘‘work-based learning’’ has the meaning given the term in section 3 of the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006 (20 U.S.C. 2302).
18 (b) FINDINGS.—Congress finds that— (1) the coming end of Moore’s Law presents major technological challenges and opportunities for the United States and has important implications for national security, economic competitiveness, and scientific discovery; (2) future progress and innovation in microelectronics, and the maintenance of a robust[u] domestic microelectronics [/u]supply chain, will require an approach that advances relevant materials science, electronics and photonic device technologies, processing and packaging technologies, manufacturing technologies, circuit, chip, and system architecture, and software system and algorithm development in a codesign fashion;

(A) IN GENERAL.—In carrying out the program, the Secretary shall provide financial assistance to eligible entities described in sub20 paragraph (B) to carry out research projects in—
(i) foundational science areas, including—

4 (II) novel microelectronics devices, including emerging memory and
6 storage technologies;
7 (III) diverse computing architectures and paradigms, including analog

10 (IV) data-driven modeling and
11 simulation;
12 (V) integrated sensing, power
13 harvesting, and communications;
14 (VI) component integration and
15 subsystems;
16 (VII) photonic integration and
17 packaging; and
18 (VIII) development of codesign
19 frameworks for all stages of microelectronics design, development, fabrication, and application;
