There will be a tricky back to school
uptick in retail shoppers this
weekend thru next weekend...
But overall retail traffic has been
very slow since June started...
And I normally wouldn't know that...
But started a project helping someone
about 30 miles away in early June...
And travelled 3 or more times per
week since then and was shopping
in many different supply stores, etc...
It was a pleasant shopping experience
all along the timeline with few other
shoppers to interface with...
But it was hard on the wallet...
As E.T. would say...'ouch'...
It has been slow everwhere for months
because the gas price went so high...
And it still hasn't dropped into any
comfort zone for family expenses...
Now, it is fall and the family child
getting a license wants to drive
to school...And back during Trumpier
days parents promised them that
they could then...
Buying any plumbing supplies like
schedule 40 pipes or pex copper
fittings must be something like
shopping on Rodeo Drive...
It is all expensive...
Retail lumber prices are still enormous...
Things have slowed down for good
reason because of budgets...
So we watch...LJ
