Elect continued
Mathew 24:21 on...
speaks of GREAT TRIBULATION and the shortening of days is to save people (presumption of a massive heat wave, The time/night time to help cool down temp a little.)

So we see that this "ELECT" is on earth during the judgements
So..... as youve stated before, this CANNOT be the "church".
We are removed WITH the Holy Spirit Before this time.-qoute.

I did read all the passages as well Risk.
Use simple linguistic common sense.

ELECT- what does the word ALONE refer to??

e·lect [ i lékt ]
verb (past and past participle e·lect·ed, present participle e·lect·ing, 3rd person present singular e·lects)

Definition:

1. transitive verb choose somebody by vote: to choose somebody by a vote, e.g. for public office, an official role, or membership of a group
She was elected leader of the commission.

2. transitive verb decide to do something: to make a decision to do something
elected to stay
3. transitive and intransitive verb U.S. choose something: to choose or select something, particularly a subject or course of study at college
4. transitive verb religion choose somebody for salvation: especially in Christianity, to choose somebody by divine will for salvation <<<<not true, mind you any longer.
adjective

Definition:

1. chosen but not yet in office: chosen by a vote but not yet formally installed in office ( used in combination )
the president-elect
2. religion chosen by God: chosen by God for special favor, salvation, or a task <<<<<<< be His light in the world

plural noun

Definition:
1. select group: a specially privileged or gifted group ( literary )
World-class opera singers are among today's elect.
2. religion people chosen by God: people believed to be specially chosen or favored by God, e.g. those chosen by God for salvation
[15th century. < Latin electus < eligere "pick out" < legere "choose"]
e·lect·a·ble adjective

SEE WHAT I/ IT MEANS.....
It is to give the OPTION to do something.
That is exactly why I referenced the 144k as such.
It is not the "church" as in NEITHER: JEW/GENTILE.
BECAUSE-Romans declares-ALL have sinned and FALLEN SHORT.
this nullifies ANY predestination/elect for salvation purposes, and so.....must mean something else. WHICH IT DOES.

Even if...its not the 144k, the whole concept here is the elect are those that SERVE/FOLLOW JESUS AND HIS WORD.
SO YES, the body of Christ is the church. HOWEVER, in lue of time frames-it would have to be a specific GROUP of believers, seperate than the raptured ones FOR THIS VERSE TO **EXIST DURING THE **GREAT TRIB Time frame/period.
I think- "REMNANT" may be the right word here.
All for the moment. ALL THOUGHTS welcomed.

It is a puzzling thing. The truth knocks on the door and you say, "Go away, I'm looking for the truth," and so it goes away. Puzzling.
