Well this is just for you then, everyone else can ignore.

Script numbers this week, it will be down across the board for every drug out there because of the July 4 holiday so I wouldn't give too much credence to the numbers this week. Very little scripts are written or filled on a holiday so it should be 1/7th less than last week, didn't see the numbers for previous week but someone can do the math and this should be about 1/7th less.

Someone said the kind of marketing Purdue did can't be done anymore because you can't give doc's anything. This is true, and it was true even back when Purdue did it (and everyone else).

If you provide a doc anything of monetary value that's called "inducement" and it is totally illegal and has been for many many years. This carries not only civil penalties but criminal as well. But worst of all your drug will be shut out of any federal programs (i.e. medicare & medicaid), if this happens your drug is good as dead.

So they found a loophole, that's why these are called "educational seminars", but everyone knows what they really are.
You have a day full of activities at a nice resort, then do a presentation consisting of power point presentations, slides, handouts, etc.
The doc's all know why they are there though, they are not stupid.

This is how you can take a drug with inferior data compared to a rival and take greater market share. It all depends on how much you are willing to spend, cost of these "educational seminars" are NOT CHEAP. when you are covering airfare, hotel, food and beverage, any recreational activities.
