Can't argue with your assessment of the beloved Brew crew. They are a shadow of what they were offensively, and that wasn't much. The expectations were for a lot of guys to step up and that hasn't happened. Renfroe was a great pick up for JBJ, but he's been injured. And while McCutchen's been decent, if that's the best you can muster, you're in trouble.

Sadly, when it comes to the deadline, the Brewers will miss out on the A tier players. Last year they had a deal in place for Scherzer, but he vetoed it.
