I have NEVER bought a vehicle other than for cash. Ever.

I eschew debt. Even when I was poor.

In the horrid 1970s my parents very nearly lost the house due to high inflation, high innerest rates, high natural gas prices, and their attempt to finance everything with stupid CONsumer debt with Household Finance Corp (HFC) and loans from WECO.

I learnt to avoid debt like the plague. The stress the 1970s and debt put on my parents (and me) was nott gonna ever happen to me.
