Good morning Amarites;
I wanted to broach a subject that I think needs some observances and response from the board. It concerns another "hidden" benefit of Vascepa overlooked by most.
I'm 70 years old. In very good health. But still I'm no spring chicken.

About 10 days ago I was helping my brother with a project. Normally this project would require two men. Since my brother is handicapped I had to do the lifting of a big tree burl. Something you'd see on the "Worlds Strongest Man" TV show. I was able to lift the burl but not without injury to my arm and leg. I got a pretty bad scrape on my arm (contusion) and the same on my leg along with a deep bruise. I was bleeding pretty good. My sister applied some first aid and bandaged the wounds. That was ten days ago. I'm not sure how long wounds take to heal but I noticed today that my wounds are almost completely healed. Again healing abilities are age dependent. I can't be sure but normally wounds take longer in elderly than young people. I can only surmise that Vascepa has additionally healing qualities perhaps from it's anti-inflammatory qualities? Another factor that proves the efficacy of EPA on healing the body.

I found this article in PubMed;
Although the elderly can heal most wounds, they have a slower healing process, and all phases of wound healing are affected. The inflammatory response is decreased or delayed, as is the proliferative response. Remodeling occurs, but to a lesser degree, and the collagen formed is qualitatively different. Diseases that affect wound healing are more prevalent in the elderly and have a greater adverse effect on healing than in young adults. Thus, particularly in the elderly, concomitant medical problems should be treated vigorously to allow for maximum healing. Recent trials of novel therapies to enhance wound healing suggest, however, that much can be done to improve the prognosis of elderly patients with risk factors known to adversely affect wound healing.
