Since we are not having enough fun with the mess in the GOM, the latest news is the current administration is trying to shut down the Permian Basin.  That should really get the party going while we wait for the cops to arrive.  

By the way, they are still begging OPEC for more production.  Also, it appears they are willing to make a deal with the devil rather than promote U.S. production.

Over the past 12 months the administration has released 125 million barrels from our SPR.  There are 100 million committed barrels yet to be released. There is talk of scheduling an additional SPR release beyond the already planned releases. I wonder what the plan is for when we run out of SPR barrels?

But still crude prices are over $100 and the ability to produce (spare capacity) is at an all time low.  Who could have thought this? The mid-terms cannot come soon enough, and I am really looking forward to the 2024 election.
