No... Thomas did write his own opinion, but the main opinion was written by Alito. Thomas did bring up contraception and gay rights, but it was Alito who went on about the 17th century guy who was into punishing witches.
And Thomas had only been silent at oral arguments. He didn't shirk from writing opinions and dissents.
