He seems kind of like the Manchurian justice. Got confirmed by lying after being shown to be pretty shaky in the deportment category (sexual harassment claims by Anita Hill), then went essentially silent for decades... until activated by a chance to take away someone else's rights, religion, or who knows what, exactly, suddenly he comes alive with his mental time machine to the 1700's. I wonder if Ginni has a shock collar on him (probably not on his neck)?
