It has been said that the day someone cures cancer, half the doctors at NIH will kill themselves and the others will draw their knives, because they've all dedicated their lives to curing cancer, and it's their life's work, wasted. Not yet this situation, but recognize that that is a dynamic.

Of course there will be critics and people throwing stones and skeptical. It's part of the journey. They may really be sincere even, because of those or other reasons, but every critic is not necessarily affecting the end game here. And some people just don't like anything and are critical and skeptical of everything. I think it usually compensates for their own sense of inadequacy. If you can't be the best yourself, you act like no one else is good enough and throw stones asap at anything that looks very impressive. I know there are people like this because in past lives when I ran efforts to get better people recruited or accepted into different roles, there were always people like that, often making noise way above their actual knowledge, expertise or credentials. It usually spoke to their insecurity which often even should not have been at issue, but they made it so because some people project their fears onto everything impressive around them.
