"What is a Patent Troll?
A patent troll is a person or business that buys patents from other companies, files lawsuits against other businesses to blame them for patent infringement, and then profit from the lawsuit instead of producing its own goods or services."

Yes, I was being facetious with my, "sounds very scary" portion of my reply, and after 9 years of following/investing in and commenting on VPLM, I have a sight understanding of the "patent troll" claims.

So, ONCE AGAIN, VPLM did not buy its patents, but we gloss over that fact and continue with the "patent troll" name calling. Hey, I'll go with, "Sticks and stones..." and that theme.

Nothing has been "inserted" into the 23+ U.S. patents, nor in the patents in the E.U./India/Indonesia and Brazil.

The first patent VPLM received was back around 2012, with most of the patents granted after 2015. The patent development goes back to around 2000, with extensive Prior Art research.

The lawsuits started in 2016. Are most "patent trolls" able to fight aapl in two separate, year long IPR trials and win hands down with ZERO claims denied, like VPLM did? I think not....actually, I know not!

Hey, I do love the back and forth, with more coming later!

"patent troll rip off company"? That sounds very scary, could you explain a bit further

Nothing scary or hard to understand at all. A modern patent troll company inserts some addendum into an already existing patent, or an older patent that parts are used today and then sues any company that also uses that intellectual property as if it was their own original property.

voip-pal claims business, yet are difficult to verify as all they refer to is their own literature and pr's and the trading public magnifies the false info as is expected and usual.

Companies like this only make income for insiders and owners through stock sales and pay offs from companies that don't want to bother to go to court. When another company does fight VP, vp will lose because they will not be able to show history of the patent nor product using the patent nor prove they are being damaged from any of the companies they keep suing. At some point a company like voip-pal will be labeled a patent troll and will lose enough where they will then announce a new type of business and other patents. Rinse repeat same players in the background.
