I have no qualms with TA, but we've all heard of companies that are trading for a buck or two one day and $5 or more on great news that never look back. What I'm suggesting is that events must be taken into consideration and certain events can overcome anything TA would suggest.

One such example would be a partnership or buyout offer which almost immediately takes the stock to near the price being offered. Such events may be rumored for years, but when they happen things happen very quickly.
