It is likely, IMO , that Denner/Sarissa vote to “abstain” on all matters at the ASM and on the proxy sheet because Denner does not want to incur any unnecessary wrath amongst current directors/board members while he is still in process of negotiations with them and Amarin management. He maintains a neutral posture at present.

Retail shareholders are not in the same position. I have not decided how I will vote our sizable number of shares. The shares will not be voted “For” nor will the chance or opportunity to vote be ignored, lest the broker is afforded discretion to vote those “street name” shares in a manner the broker sees fit under the circumstances.

An “abstain” vote is a more neutral vote than an “against” vote. The last leaves a stronger message of dissatisfaction.
