The VAERS numbers are no doubt highly under reported and Covid numbers are no doubt highly over stated from the co morbidity dynamics and political pressures. But simply , lost years is a better way to calculate intrinsic losses to social economic values within a society — a death of an 80 year old with diabetes and other health issues is less destructive than a young person with incredible earning potential and other potential contributions to the betterment of society
