As I remember the story Job's tried his experimental holistic treatment which failed before he'd allow conventional medicine to be tried. I've heard it said that if he'd begun with the most expert Doctors to begin with they may have been able to shrink the tumor to the point that they could do the Whipple. That's not to say he'd been cured, but he may have lived years longer.

I've had a friend who was on chemo for about a year before they could do the Whipple, he lived a few years after it. He was a retired Dr. himself and he actually lived life well till nearly the end which sadly came in the midst of Covid. Funerals and memorials were out at that time. It was sad how many people we've lost in the last few years that couldn't be memorialized.

Michael Milken spent a fortune advancing research on prostate cancer and managed to save his own life in doing so. I believe he's done a lot of philanthropic work after his time in prison. I had a cousin who worked for him at one time, she swore that his biggest crime was making too much money, many people benefitted from the Junk Bonds he established to help make their businesses.

I believe we could get some interesting stories at ASCO from GBM survivors thanking NWBO for working to bring DCVax-L to the world.
