I suspect that if NWBO needed to they could get ASCO to make an exception, or they'd violate the rules and let ASCO punish them for doing so. I'm only saying that if they want Dr. Ashkan to speak, they'll find a way to do it.

If you look at all the rules, I believe there is a provision that says what's presented there needs to have been presented at ASCO, not just peer reviewed by someone, be it conference or Journal. People feel quite certain that NWBO is able to discuss what was presented at NYAS or a Journal, but I believe their rule doesn't say so.

I hate to say it, but so many rules are constantly being ignored, I really believe the rule books should be changed, but barring that, they really should be enforced. I believe that what NWBO intends to present will be provided to ASCO and if they have any problem with it they'll resolve it before the presentation. NWBO is paying enough to do this that I believe they'll pretty much allow them to do what they wish.
